Middle East expert Dr. Mordechai Kedar responds in Arabic to a claim made on Al Jazeera that Jerusalem belongs to the Muslims.

Dr. Mordechai Kedar is an Orientalist and lecturer in the Department of Arabic at Bar-Ilan University. In an interview I had last year with historian Benny Morris, he answered the question of the role of religion in the Arab-Israeli conflict like this, “There is a deep religious antagonism in Islam towards Judaism and it is anchored in the Quran as Judaism was a rival religion to Islam when Muhammad began preaching.
